Winter Work Canada is the ultimate adventure of work, travel and fun. You’ll gain international work experience while exploring some of the best snow and winter landscapes on the planet, meeting fellow travellers from Canada, Australia, and beyond along the way.

The Experience

We’ll help secure your job and accommodation before you even leave Australia, giving you peace of mind and a smooth start to your adventure. You can expect to earn around $18–$22 CAD per hour in roles across hotels, restaurants, resorts, and even on the mountain.
You’ll work alongside Canadians and fellow travellers in buzzing resort towns like Whistler and Banff. Surrounded by a vibrant community of people just as adventurous as you, friendships will last well beyond the winter. From sunrise to après-ski, resort life is buzzing with activity. Your days off could mean skiing, snowboarding, or just soaking up the atmosphere.

Winter Work Canada is designed for applicants aged 18–35 who are eligible for a Working Holiday Visa and want a seasonal job in a hotel, resort, restaurant, or tourism business in one of Canada’s leading winter tourism regions.

04What is the difference between a hotel and a resort?
· Hotels are typically located in towns or resort communities and are surrounded by other businesses.
· Resorts focus heavily on seasonal sports—such as skiing and snowboarding and often run their own amenities. They tend to be more remote and offer a wider variety of job roles.

05What kind of applicants are you looking for?
We seek individuals who are: Positive, friendly, hardworking, flexible, good communicators, and able to commit to an entire season.

November/December to April/May (varies by employer)

07What jobs should I aim for?
Apply for positions where you have the required experience (usually 1–3 years). If you have limited experience, consider roles that do not typically require it—such as housekeeping.
