What to Expect
What Is a Winter Season in Canada Like?
You came for the snow. Then suddenly it’s your normal life. You’re checking the snow report before work, your housemates are from three different countries and plans for your day off depend entirely on how much fell overnight.
Winter Work Canada gives you the chance to actually live the season, not squeeze it into a two-week holiday. You’ll work, earn, build international experience and have a few months to explore some of Canada’s best-known winter destinations properly.
And somewhere between the work shifts, mountain days, road trips and people you meet along the way, Canada starts feeling a lot less like somewhere you’re visiting.
The Experience
Working at a Canadian Ski Resort
One of the biggest questions is sorted before your flight takes off: where am I going to work?
We’ll help secure your job and accommodation before you leave Australia, with roles across hotels, restaurants, resorts and mountain operations paying around $18–$22 CAD per hour.
Then comes the part you actually moved to Canada for. You could be living and working somewhere like Whistler or Banff, alongside Canadians and travellers from around the world. The people on your roster become your ski buddies. Your housemates become the people you plan road trips with.
Work your shifts. Ski or snowboard on your days off. Find your après spot. Do it all again tomorrow.

· Hotels are typically located in towns or resort communities and are surrounded by other businesses.
· Resorts focus heavily on seasonal sports—such as skiing and snowboarding and often run their own amenities. They tend to be more remote and offer a wider variety of job roles.

We seek individuals who are: Positive, friendly, hardworking, flexible, good communicators, and able to commit to an entire season.

Apply for positions where you have the required experience (usually 1–3 years). If you have limited experience, consider roles that do not typically require it—such as housekeeping.
