Who We’re Looking For
We are actively seeking new interviewers to join our team. Ideal candidates will have had a positive cultural exchange experience (such as participating in Camp America, Au Pair in America, or a similar program) or proven experience in recruitment or interviewing.
You will represent AIFS’ US cultural exchange programs in your community, so strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
Key skills and requirements include:
- Strong written and spoken English
- Effective time management and organisational ability
- Regular internet access to use our bespoke Online Application system
- A friendly, approachable manner with the ability to coach and motivate applicants
Your Role & Training
Interviewers play a vital part in supporting and guiding applicants through the recruitment process. You will:
- Conduct pre-screening interviews with potential participants (45–60 minutes each)
- Follow a structured interview framework provided by Camp America
- Share your own cultural exchange experiences to inspire applicants
- Help applicants identify their skills and strengths while maintaining program standards
Before starting, you’ll receive comprehensive training, which covers:
- Interview techniques tailored to cultural exchange recruitment
- Safeguarding procedures and compliance requirements
- Safer recruiting practices to protect both applicants and families
