Bookkeeper/Accountant

AIFS is seeking a highly organised and detail-driven Bookkeeper / Accountant to care for our day-to-day finance operations. The position will commence at the latest from Monday, January 5.

Reporting to the Managing Director, this role is responsible for Accounts Payable and Receivable, payroll processing, BAS preparation, bank reconciliations, and monthly/quarterly reporting.


Key Responsibilities

· End-to-end Accounts Payable and oversight of Accounts Receivable

· Bank and credit card reconciliations and general ledger maintenance

· Payroll processing, including superannuation

· Balance sheet reconciliations and basic P&L support

· Preparing and submitting BAS and IAS

· Monthly and quarterly management reporting

· Collaborating with management on cash flow forecasting

· Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring regulatory compliance


Skills & Experience

· Minimum 5+ years’ bookkeeping/accounting experience, ideally in a small or medium-sized business

· Cert IV in Bookkeeping and Accounting or an Accounting Degree

· Experience with Reckon will be highly valued or similar integrated accounting systems

· Proven payroll processing experience, including knowledge of awards and entitlements

· Strong skills in bank reconciliation and end-of-month processes

· Experience preparing Business Activity Statements

· Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work independently

· Excellent organisational and communication skills

· Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident with full working rights
