What Sets AIFS apart?

Rigorous Screening

We are proud of our reputation of offering the most rigorous screening process or any Au Pair agency in Australia. As Australia's only ChildWise accredited Au Pair agency, we ensure that every part of our process - from recruitment, screening and placement, to on-program support, meets the strict ChildWise standards.

In addition to Police, medical and Working with Children checks, our multi-tiered screening also includes verfication of references, a one-on-one interview and detailed interview report with every Au Pair. Our Au Pairs are fully vaccinated (including Whooping Cough) and must complete a 2-day orientation which includes an Australian pediatric first aid course which is delivered by an experienced paramedic.

Comprehensive Support

As an AIFS Host Family you will receive support from our team from the moment you apply. More than just an introduction, our families receive profiles or Au Pairs matched to meet thier preferred criteria, tips and templates to assist with interviewing and guidance about the slection process.  Once your Au Pair arrives with your family you will have around the clock support from our dedicated AIFS Community Counsellor who is there to ask for advice and to ensure that your family's experience is an enriching and enjoyable one.

AIFS - 50+ Years' Experience

AIFS has over 50 years experience delivering quality cultural exchange programmes. We started sending our first group of young people on cultural exchange programs in 1964 and became the first US J1 au pair visa sponsor in 1986. This year over 50,000 from around the world will participate on one of our programs around the globe.

AIFS Au Pairs wish to use their child care experience to gain a culturally enriching experience in Australia however the benefits are mutual. You will find your AIFS Au Pair will give your family an unforgettable insight into another culture, offer a wonderful learning experience and create friendships that last well beyond the placement. Due to our long history in offering cultural exchange opportunities we have had the benefit of seeing the impact cultural exchange has on generations of AIFS families and Au pairs.

More Than Just a Search Engine

We are more than an online search engine; AIFS carefully screens every Au Pair and accept only those that are equipped with the background and experience to care for your children. AIFS is an Australian registered company  with a large shop front centre near Sydney's Hyde Park which serves as the arrival point for our Au Pairs before they head across the country to their families. We encourage Sydney based familes to drop in and see us - we love meeting our families!
